Chinese Historical Society of New England
Located in Boston's Chinatown, the CHSNE is the first non-profit educational organization used to preserve Chinese culture, documents and history as well as promoting it through newsletters and other historical texts put together by collaborators with the organization (About CHSNE). The Historical Society also provides paid tours of some of the important monuments and popular tourist attractions in the Boston Chinatown area. They also take place in the production of some banquets as well as the Asian-American Film Festival (Chinsen).
American Chinese Art Society
The ACAS was founded in 1984 with the goals of preserving and promoting Chinese Arts in the Americas (Home ACAS). They are located in Newton and Woburn Massachusetts. The society aims to educate newer Chinese American generations in the different styles and forms of Chinese performing arts (Home ACAS). They also sponsor cultural events where the talents are showcased such as concerts, workshops, festivals and exhibitions (Home ACAS).
Chinese American Museum
Housed in the oldest surviving structure of Los Angeles' original Chinatown, the Chinese American Museum has a mission of preserving a deep understanding and appreciation of the Chinese American influence in the United States, specifically California (Mission and History). They house periodical exhibitions of art and artifacts as well as containing a year-round collection historical pieces to help enrich the understanding of the Chinese American community's background in the area and country (Mission and History).
Asian American resource center
Located in Austin, Texas, the AARC is the City of Austin's newest cultural facility, with the grand opening in the fall of 2013. The facility's purpose is to provide public resources as well as a cultural destination for Austin's Asian American community or anyone else interested in accessing their resources. The space is home to a research library, computer lab, meeting room, arts and crafts room, and family activities room as well as an interior courtyard.
Asian American cultural center
Also located in Austin, Texas, the goal of the Asian American Cultural center is to expose the diverse Austin community to the experiences and practices of Asian Americans in the United States (Wong Mok). They hold cultural functions aimed at Asian American and other ethnic groups to increase the cooperation and understanding between cultural groups in the community (Wong Mok). They also provide outreach by giving meals to the elders in the Asian American community. In order to supply general information to the Austin Asian American group, they also publish a newsletter (Wong Mok).
